NU Vice-Chancellor Says We want to Create 50,000 Freelancers. We want to create 50,000 freelancers, said National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Amanullah. He said that the National University is taking special initiatives to transform the young generation into skilled manpower and make it competitive in the global labor market.
He said this at the orientation program of the first year of the undergraduate (honors) class of the 2024-2025 academic year jointly organized by the National University and UNICEF at the auditorium of Lalmatia Government Women’s College in the capital on Monday (August 18).
Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Dr. S. M. A. Faiz was the chief guest at the program. Faiz Ahmed Tayyab, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor on Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology, Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division, and Mohammad Shafiqul Alam, Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor, were present as special guests.
The welcoming speech was delivered by Dr. Md. Ashek Kabir Chowdhury, Acting Dean of the School of Undergraduate Education, National University. The event was moderated by Ms. Salma Parveen, Director of the Teacher Training Department. The coordinator was Dr. Md. Haider Ali, System Analyst, National University.
Cyber Safety Games were inaugurated and cultural programs were performed.
