14 students of class 5 who received scholarships from the play group of Kabi Nazrul University School established on the campus of National Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University have been awarded scholarship money, crests and certificates.
On Tuesday (July 29), the Vice-Chancellor of the university and the President of the School and College Management Committee, Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam, presented the scholarships to the students in the conference room adjacent to the Vice-Chancellor’s office.
Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor said, ‘Parents and teachers have prepared the tender children for good results by providing them with proper education and care, love and affection. Receiving this scholarship will be memorable in their future lives and will inspire them to do better. As a result of receiving this scholarship, the reputation of the school will spread in the area and attract new students to this school. I hope that all the students of this school will go to various good places and succeed. The current School and College Management Committee is working with great sincerity and competence. We will soon move the current school to the new building built for the school and college, God willing.’
This year, 22 students of Kabi Nazrul University School participated in the scholarship examination organized by the Bangladesh Kindergarten Development Association. Out of these, a total of 14 students, including 5 talents and 9 general students, received scholarships.
Also present at the scholarship awarding ceremony were the university’s treasurer, Professor Dr. Zainul Abedin Siddiqui, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Dr. Mohammad Imdadul Huda, Member-Secretary of the School and College Management Committee and Head of the Department of Bengali Language and Literature, Professor Dr. Md. Habib-ul-Mawla (Mawla Prince). The acting headmaster of Kabi Nazrul University School, Mosa. Lupa Khatun, delivered the welcome speech at the ceremony.
