DSHE’s instructions for educational institutions on August 5. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi) has directed all government and private schools and colleges in the country to celebrate the ‘July Mass Uprising’ Day on August 5 and the ‘July Martyrs’ Day on July 16.
On Thursday (July 3), the instructions were given in a letter signed by Maushi’s Assistant Director (General Administration) Md. Khalid Hossain.
The letter said that the government has declared August 5 as the July Mass Uprising Day (including general holidays) every year and has decided to include that date as a ‘A’ category day in the aforementioned circular No. 1 of the Cabinet Division regarding the observance of national and international days.
Besides, the government has declared July 16 every year as ‘July Martyrs’ Day’ and has decided to include that date as a ‘B’ category day in the Cabinet Division’s Circular No. 1 on the observance of national and international days to observe it as July Martyrs’ Day. It is requested to take necessary measures to implement this decision.
