Career Building Workshop Held at Northern University. A workshop titled ‘Career Kickstart: Insights from Industry Experts’ was held at Northern University Bangladesh. The workshop was held at Room MB 105 of the university on Wednesday (June 2) at 11 am. The workshop was organized by the ‘Marketing and HRM Forum’ of the Department of Business Administration.
The keynote speaker at the event was Shanta De, an alumnus of the university and currently working as Manager (Talent Acquisition and Rewards) at Plan International Bangladesh.
She provided guidance and advice to prepare the new generation of students for corporate experiences. These included – strategies for creating a professional and quality CV, strategies for building a LinkedIn profile, things to do in preparing for interviews, the real needs of corporate hiring and long-term career planning.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Md. Maruf Ul Islam, Dean of the Department of Business Administration. He said, “In order to build a real career for students, exposure to the industry sector is very important.”
The BBA program coordinator presented the award crest to the speaker in gratitude. Club advisor Professor Santu Ghosh and lecturer Kaniz Fatema Ananna assisted in the organization.
