SUB Admission Fair to start on September 22. State University of Bangladesh (SUB) is starting the ‘SUB Admission Fair 2025’ from September 22 to 24 at its permanent campus in Dakshin Purbachal, Dhaka. There will be 10-75 percent merit-based scholarships for students seeking admission during the fair.
In addition, students who get admitted during the fair will receive special gifts. To make it easier for students to participate in the fair, free transportation has been arranged from Kuril to the campus.
On the occasion of this fair, the university’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain Khan said, ‘SUB Admission Fair 2025 is an important initiative of ours. We want every talented student in the country to come to our permanent campus and directly learn about the university’s environment, quality of education and facilities. Our goal is to make higher education more accessible, affordable and of high quality through this event.’
He said, ‘The fair is not only about admissions, but also provides students with an opportunity to directly experience campus life and facilities. Our permanent campus has a vast green field, where students can participate in sports, cultural programs and other activities. Apart from this, smart labs and modern learning equipment ensure a modern and practical learning environment for students.’
The Vice-Chancellor said, ‘For the convenience of students, there are 36 private buses, which regularly ply on 13 routes in Dhaka. Apart from this, there are 25 modern department-based labs, out of which 17 are in the Pharmacy department. There are a total of 17 clubs under 7 central clubs for students’ entertainment and social activities. Apart from this, the campus has a spacious library, mosque and hostel facilities with all modern amenities and high-speed Wi-Fi, which provide students with the opportunity to study and research in a digital learning-friendly environment.’
He said, ‘The university is run under 4 schools, which have a total of 10 departments—Architecture, Business, CSE, English, Environmental Science, Food Engineering and Nutrition Science, Journalism, Law, Pharmacy and Public Health. High-quality education is provided to students in these departments through experienced and qualified teachers.’
Professor Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain Khan said, ‘In addition, we have a network of more than 15,000 alumni, which plays an important role in the career development and professional support of students. To ensure the future preparation of students, we have a dedicated Career Hub Club, under which industry-academia linkage activities are being actively conducted. Through this, students get the opportunity to gain industry-based research, internships and hands-on experience.
Students attending the fair will have the opportunity to directly talk to representatives of various departments and receive necessary guidance on admission and career matters.
