Nunez Leaves Liverpool for Al-Hilal for 7.5 Billion. Darwin Nunez has left Liverpool to join Al-Hilal. This information has been confirmed by both clubs. This will now make the Premier League champions pay more attention to Newcastle forward Alexander Isak.
Nunez joined Liverpool from Benfica three years ago for an initial contract of 75 million euros. But then he failed to increase the amount of the contract.
The Uruguayan striker scored 40 goals in 143 matches for the All Reds. But he lost his place at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp and later Arne Slot.
Various British media outlets claim that Al-Hilal has added the 26-year-old striker to the team for 53 million euros (around 7.5 billion taka).
Al-Hilal said in a statement, “Al-Hilal is delighted to announce the signing of Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez from Liverpool on a three-year contract.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool have already signed Hugo Ekiti, Florian Ritz and two full-backs Milos Carquez and Jeremy Frimpong in the summer transfer window. However, Liverpool have the opportunity to break the British transfer record by signing Isak. Newcastle did not agree to the first bid of 110 million pounds. Newcastle have demanded 150 million pounds for the Swedish striker.
On the other hand, Liverpool have earned about 200 million euros in the transfer window by releasing Nunez after the departure of Luis Diaz, Jarrell Quanshah, Kayomen Kelleher, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Tyler Morton.
