Professor Tahmina Islam of Shahid Suhrawardy Government College has been appointed as the new vice-principal of Government Titumir College, one of the largest government educational institutions in the capital. This information was given in a notification issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education on Monday (July 28).
The notification mentioned that Professor Tahmina Islam of the BCS (General Education) cadre has been transferred/promoted to the post of vice-principal of Government Titumir College on the current salary and salary scale until further orders.
Professor Tahmina Islam had been working as a senior teacher in the Department of Sociology/Social Work at Shahid Suhrawardy Government College in the capital for a long time. During her teaching career, she has become known as a wise and responsible teacher among the students.
Colleagues and students expressed their hope that she will play an important role in the welfare of students and the management of the institution through her skills, integrity and leadership in her new workplace.
Incidentally, Government Titumir College is known as one of the most populous colleges in the country, where a large number of students are admitted every year to pursue higher education. Many see the arrival of Professor Tahmina Islam as a positive change in the administrative leadership of this college.
