It said that an initiative has been taken to reserve 10% of the directly employable posts and make independent direct appointments to the remaining 2,382 posts. The ministry has already sent a demand to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat (PSC). The Bangladesh Public Service Commission will soon publish a recruitment notice to fill the vacant post of head teacher who can be directly recruited. In addition, 31,459 posts eligible for promotion from assistant teachers to head teachers will be filled through promotion as soon as the Civil Appeal Case No. 73/2023 regarding the gradation of nationalized teachers is settled.
It also said that if this recruitment is completed, the manpower shortage of primary schools will be filled. Besides, the educational activities of the schools will be further improved and dynamic. The government expects that the quality of primary education will be improved to the desired level as a result of this government step.
