PSC issues important instructions for 47th BCS candidates. The 47th BCS Preliminary Examination will be held on September 19. On this occasion, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has issued a notification with important instructions for the candidates. It was signed by PSC’s Examination Controller (Cadre) Masuma Afreen.
The notification states that the 47th BCS Preliminary Test (MCQ Type) will be held simultaneously in 8 divisional cities including Dhaka on September 19 from 10 am to 12 noon. Important instructions for the said examination are as follows:
*It is completely prohibited to bring books, all types of watches, mobile phones, scientific/programmable calculators, all types of electronic devices, any device similar to bank/credit cards, jewelry, bracelets and bags to the examination hall. No candidate with prohibited items will be allowed to enter the examination hall.
*Candidates will have to enter the examination hall with the admit card and metal detector in the presence of the Executive Magistrate-Police at the gate of the examination hall after searching for prohibited items including mobile phones, watches, electronic devices.
*SMS will be sent to all candidates’ mobile phones to avoid bringing the prohibited items mentioned on the day of the examination. The instructions in the SMS message must be followed.
*During the examination, candidates should not wear any covering on their ears, their ears should be kept open. If any type of hearing aid is required, the approval of the commission along with a specialist doctor’s recommendation letter must be obtained in the morning.
*If any candidate is found with the prohibited items mentioned in the examination hall, the candidate will be confiscated and the candidature of the candidate concerned will be cancelled due to violation of the rules of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Age, Qualification and Direct Recruitment Examination) Rules, 2014 and the candidate will be declared ineligible for all recruitment examinations conducted by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission in the future. In addition, if any person commits or aids in committing any offence under Sections 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Act, 2023, he shall be punished with the punishment prescribed in the section under which the offence is committed or aids in committing.
*Candidates must enter the examination hall by 9:30 AM. All gates/gates to the examination hall will be closed after 9:30 AM.
