Southeast University hosts ‘International Summit on Three Zero Policies’. Southeast University (SEU) School of Business, in collaboration with CSCA, SBIF and SEUDC, organized a day-long ‘International Summit on Three Zero Policies’ on the Southeast University campus. The conference was inaugurated by Southeast University’s Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mofazzal Hossain on Monday (June 30, 2025).
Grameen Group Chairman Ashraful Hasan was present as the chief guest in the first session of the conference. He shared his experience in developing the Grameen Bank project in his talk. The session was presided over by the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam.
The conference brought together prominent speakers including policymakers, academicians, industry experts, diplomats and youth leaders from six countries around the world. The speakers at the event urged the formulation of effective strategies to achieve zero poverty, zero unemployment and zero net carbon emissions.
Muhammad Fauzul Kabir Khan, Advisor to the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Government of Bangladesh, was present as the chief guest at the closing session. In his speech, the chief guest emphasized renewable energy, sustainable development and poverty alleviation. He spoke about innovative solutions and cooperation for sustainable development in Bangladesh. He also shed light on the installation of rooftop solar panels in offices, courts and educational institutions. He mentioned that a cooperative attitude is essential to inspire the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.
Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of North South University and Chairman of Grameen Bank, was present as the guest. Rezaul Karim, Chairman of Southeast University Trust, delivered a special speech and the Vice Chancellor of Southeast University delivered the inaugural speech of the session.
