Walton brand launches two new models of Takyon e-bikes. Walton has added a new dimension to the country’s electric bike or e-bike market. Walton, the first BRTA-approved company in Bangladesh, has added two new models to its e-bike series ‘Takyon’. With modern design, powerful motor, long-lasting battery backup and affordable running cost of 10-15 paisa per kilometer, these new e-bikes are being seen as smart and environmentally friendly companions for urban and rural life.
The newly added ‘Fusion 25FZ’ model with improved performance can run up to 100 to 110 kilometers on a single charge. The maximum speed of this e-bike is 60 kilometers per hour. The bike uses a 38 ampere-hour 72-volt graphene lead-acid battery and a 1.2 kW DC brushless motor. It also has the ability to accelerate from zero to 100 meters in just 10 seconds. With dual disc brake system, advanced tires and a weight of 140 kg, this model will provide reliable performance on both city and highway roads. It is priced at Tk 1,87,500.
On the other hand, the ‘Leo 25T1’ model is capable of running at a maximum speed of 35 km/h. The bike can be ridden for 70 to 80 km on a single charge. It has a 23 ampere-hour 60-volt graphene lead-acid battery, whose charging time is only 6 to 8 hours. The powerful 800-watt brushless DC motor, disc-drum brake system and advanced suspension will give the rider a safe and comfortable experience. Weighing only 89 kg, this model is capable of carrying a maximum load of up to 100 kg. The model is priced at only Tk 86,850.
