The Ministry of Education has published the policy for admission to class XI for the 2025-26 academic year. According to the policy, this year’s admission process will also be completed in three phases. In the first phase, online applications will start on July 30 and will continue until August 11. The results of this phase will be published at 8 pm on August 20.
After that, the Ministry of Education plans to start class XI classes from September 15 by accepting applications, publishing results, confirming and completing the final admission process in two more phases. However, the ministry has imposed restrictions on some educational institutions in the admission policy.
The policy states that students cannot be admitted to colleges or equivalent institutions that have permission to establish but do not have primary permission to teach. Students cannot be admitted to any college or equivalent institution that has primary permission to teach or is recognized, on unapproved campuses and in any unapproved subject.
According to the draft, students seeking admission will be able to apply for a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 colleges or equivalent institutions by submitting an online application fee. This time, the application fee may be increased by Tk 70 to Tk 220. Out of the colleges a student applies to, his/her position in an educational institution for admission will be determined based on the student’s merit, quota (if applicable) and preference.
This time too, the admission process will be completed centrally online with the technical assistance of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) under the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
